On January 21, 2026, Fresnillo plc, a world leader in gold and silver mining, completed its acquisition of Probe Gold. The Novador gold project in Quebec, which will now benefit from Fresnillo’s experience and resources, is located in the Val-D’Or mining camp, within the volcanic zone of the south in the southeastern part of the Archean Greenstone Belt of Abitibi. The property hosts three (3) past producing mines (Beliveau Mine, Monique Mine and Bussiere Mine) and falls along four (4) regional mine trends, including 14 kilometres of strike length along the prolific Cadillac Break. G Mining Services (GMS) was mandated to provide overall coordination to produce a PEA Optimization Study in 2024. GMS was then engaged to lead all mining engineering aspects of the PFS and is now working on completing the Feasibility Study. GMS’ scope includes the open pit and underground mining engineering and design, mine planning, mining infrastructure, mining opex and capex, and the development of the mining execution strategy.
