Concrete Finishing Supervisor
We are looking for an experienced Concrete Finishing Supervisor to join his team for the gold mine project, Oko West Gold Project, located in English Guyana. The project is already in construction phase, and we are looking for someone interested in a project supervision and execution challenge assigned 100% on site. Our ideal future colleague must have extensive experience in training, coaching and supervising teams made up mainly of local staff for all activities related to concrete finishing at the mine construction site. The individual must be able to plan work, organize labour, coordinate equipment (concrete pump) and supervise pouring from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise concrete finishing teams.
- Plan work and labour and equipment requirements.
- Train and accompany workers directly in the field.
- Ensure work meets plans, specifications and quality standards.
- Enforce safety procedures, “take 5”, inspections and work methods.
- Identify risks and promptly correct hazardous situations.
- Coordinate work with other teams and departments.
- Maintain good communication during pouring.
- Monitor progress of work and report problems.
- Develop team skills and identify future team leaders or supervisors.
Qualifications
- At least eight (8) years of experience in the heavy industrial or mining industry for civil/concrete work.
- Experience specifically in the construction phase of projects.
- Minimum three (3) years specific experience in concrete finishing.
- Experience in team leader, supervisor or foreman roles.
- Experience in staff training (local and/or international resources will be considered an asset).
- Good knowledge and understanding of OHS standards including “Take 5”, inspection and risk analysis.
- Ability to work in a remote, field-based environment under challenging conditions and on a rotational schedule.
- Fluency in English (oral and written).
- Fluency in Spanish is considered an asset.

Additional Information on the Project and Contract
- Project Name: Oko West Gold Project.
- Location: English Guyana (Region 7) – 95 km north of the capital, Georgetown.
- Target Start Date: around July 1, 2026.
- Target Contract End Date: TBD.
- Position based on mine site (mine site/camp).
- FIFO (Fly-in/Fly-out) project based on rotation schedule 22-20.
- 12 hours per day on site, 11 hours per day work schedule.
- All transportation, accommodations and meals are provided by G Mining.
