Construction Management

GMS will provide a construction management team responsible for ensuring the successful and cost-effective management and execution of all construction activities on site.

Planing and Execution
  • Organize site mobilization.
  • Plan and execute early works and construction activities based on engineering planning.
  • Establish and manage temporary construction facilities and related infrastructure including construction water and power.
  • Execute site demobilization.
Construction Management
  • Supervise and govern all construction activities at site.
  • Coordinate and manage all (in scope) on-site contractor activities and administer construction contracts.
  • Provide logistical support including transport movement coordination, equipment/materials, receiving, site warehousing, material control and supply of free-issue materials to contractors.
  • Manage contract closeouts including receipt of contractor material data reports (MDRs).
  • Review and incorporate as-built drawing submissions into design documentation.
Health & Safety
  • Implement and manage site systems including those needed for safety and occupational health.
  • Maintain a high-performance level in health, safety & environment based on best practices.
  • Support the different contractors.
Project Controls
  • Establish project control at site based on the Control Budget and the Key Performance Indicators supplied by the Engineering Group.
  • Monitor hours, quantities and performance of the different trades on a required basis.
  • Perform budget forecast by performing Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Completion ( EAC).
  • Implement the change management system.
Schedule Management
  • Update and control construction schedules including a three-week look-ahead review.
  • Manage and maintain the construction input into the project master schedule.
Quality Monitoring and Control
  • Execute the QA/QC program.
  • Supervise construction quality and initiate corrective actions.
  • Prepare punch lists and manage rectification of identified deficiencies.
Commissioning Support
  • Perform first phase of commissioning and provide support during commissioning phase two and ramp-up.
