The work will be accomplished on the Tocantinzinho project, located in Pará, northern Brazil, in the Tapajos region, site of the largest gold rush in history. Tocantinzinho is a permitted, construction ready, open-pit gold deposit containing 1.8 million ounces of reserves.

Lead Piping Engineer
Summary of responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Piping Superintendent, the incumbent will be involved in the design modification of established system processes or adaptation of a portion of the engineering project on the field. More specifically, the Lead Piping Engineer will be called upon to:
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
- Plan and conduct surveys, tests, or investigations, interpret results, and prepare recommendations, summaries, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Meet with representatives of other departments to coordinate planning and scheduling activities.
- Perform work which involves conventional engineering practice but includes a variety of complex features, such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
- Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities.
- Devise new approaches to problems encountered. Work requires originality and judgment in the independent evaluation and resolution of problems.
- Schedule and coordinate the work of contractors in order to complete work on time and within budget parameters.
- Assist on the piping procurement and warehousing strategy.
- Ensure department’s compliance with the requirement of Government agencies, lending institutions, shareholders’ environmental and Health & Safety legislation and company regulations.
Requirements
- Have a bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a specialized area and supervisory experience.
- Be able to communicate in French and/or English
- Experience in the mining or heavy mineral industry is considered an asset.

- Daily work schedule of 11 hours per day.
- Fly-in Fly-out on 29 days of work followed by 27 days off schedule.
