Electrical Designer
Summary of responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the Chief Electrical Engineer, the Electrical Designer will be part of the design team and project development. More specifically, he/she will be called upon to:
- Prepare general, typical and specific arrangements of electrical installations for process plants, both at the conceptual and detailed engineering level;
- Conceptualize 3D models;
- Prepare general arrangement and 2D equipment location drawings following project specific electrical design and plant arrangement criteria;
- Comment on supplier drawings to ensure accuracy of references and coordinates;
- Develop engineering files as well as electrical distribution system models, drawings, sketches and plans;
- Provide support in the review of the 3D model to resolve electrical installation interferences.
Qualifications
- Technical degree in electrical engineering
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in electrical network design
- Ability to communicate in French and/or English
- Experience in the mining sector is an asset
- Good knowledge of modeling software such as Revit, Plant 3D and Autocas is an important asset
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Autocad.

Additional information
- The position will be based at the G Mining Services office in Brossard and/or remotely.
- Possibility of working in hybrid mode (office and remote work).
- Possibility of travelling abroad and in Canada depending on the availability of the candidate.
