Electrical Designer

 

Summary of responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the Chief Electrical Engineer, the Electrical Designer will be part of the design team and project development. More specifically, he/she will be called upon to:
• Prepare general, typical and specific arrangements of electrical installations for process plants, both at the conceptual and detailed engineering level;
• Conceptualize 3D models;
• Prepare general arrangement and 2D equipment location drawings following project specific electrical design and plant arrangement criteria;
• Comment on supplier drawings to ensure accuracy of references and coordinates;
• Develop engineering files as well as electrical distribution system models, drawings, sketches and plans;
• Provide support in the review of the 3D model to resolve electrical installation interferences.

 

Qualifications

• Technical degree in electrical engineering
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in electrical network design
• Ability to communicate in French and/or English
• Experience in the mining sector is an asset
• Good knowledge of modeling software such as Revit, Plant 3D and Autocas is an important asset
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Autocad.

Additional information

• The position will be based at the G Mining Services office in Brossard and/or remotely.
• Possibility of working in hybrid mode (office and remote work).
• Possibility of travelling abroad and in Canada depending on the availability of the candidate.
