Civil Engineer — Earthworks
Summary of responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Earthworks Manager, the incumbent will be part of the team dedicated to planning and design of earthworks including platforms, roads, access roads and all services related to earthworks. More specifically, the Civil Engineer will:
- Carry out the design and modelling of earthworks using 3D CAD/Civil software;
- Contribute to the issuance of drawings, design specifications and reports;
- Participate in the preparation of estimates, nomenclature, schedules and budgets;
- Implement production monitoring tools;
- Annotate the plans issued for construction and update them for the production of final plans (TQC);
- Participate in the preparation of studies (PEA, PFS, FS), and different phases of engineering projects;
- Ensure that plans comply with guidelines, building code requirements, and other national and international standards and regulations;
- Prepare and ensure compliance with construction schedules and develop corrective measures and plans as necessary;
- Read, analyze and optimize schedules based on productivity ratio;
- Draft contract documents, review and evaluate bids for construction projects;
- Support contract preparation and revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering;
- Studies in surveying or related field (asset);
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience;
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (O.I.Q.) or of another Canadian province;
- Proficient in of Civil 3D and/or Autocad;
- Experience in a consulting engineering firm;
- Experience in the construction of highways, bridges or hydroelectric dams;
- Experience in the mining sector and having worked internationally (significant assets);
- Good knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook;
- Ability to communicate in French and/or English (bilingualism an asset).

Additional Information
- The position will be based at the G Mining Services office in Brossard;
- Possibility of working in hybrid mode (office and remote work).
- Must be available to occasionally travel to site, abroad and within Canada.
